What is MAR Full Form in Computer?
The MAR full form in the computer is Memory Address Register. This is the CPU register stores either the memory location from which data will be retrieved to the CPU registers or the address to which data will be transferred and saved via the system bus. The MAR stores the memory location of data that needs to be accessed. When reading from memory, data addressed by MAR is loaded into the memory data register, which is then used by the CPU.
Role of MAR in computer:
It plays an important part in the construction of the computer’s CPU, or Central Processing Unit. As a result, MAR plays an incredibly significant role. However, MAR accounts for only half of the interface within the CPU. The other component is the MDR, or Memory Data Register. Both are about 32-bit parallel load registers.
Types of addresses in MAR:
There are two types of addresses within the memory added register. These include the address of instruction and the address of data. It plays an important part in the construction of the computer’s CPU. The learner has to understand that the MAR incorporates two types of addresses of instructions and data. Along with the two registers, that is the MAR and the MDR, MUX, the 32-bit tristate buffers creates a system by connecting these devices to control the signals.
